You will need:
Purchase a strainer bag for making your Kava Tea.
Pair the strainer bag with your purchase when purchasing our 100gm bag of Kava.
Choose the amount of kava powder you require:
250mls room temperature spring water 1 drink – 10g of kava
500mls room temperature spring water 2 drinks – 20g of kava
2 litres room temperature spring water 8 drinks – 100g of kava
Recommended: Brew 1-2L and store the extra in the fridge
for another time
How to Brew:
Traditional Method
Equipment needed:
Kava powder
Kava strainer bag
Room temperature spring water
Flat round bowl
METHOD
1. Add room temperature spring water into your round bowl.
2. Add dried Kava root into your strainer bag.
3. Carefully submerge the strainer bag into the water and knead using your hands for 5-10minutes.
4. Leave the strainer bag to soak in the water for 1hour (cover with
a clean cloth), then knead again for 5minutes.
5. Squeeze the strainer bag, collecting the water in the bowl.
6. Store Kava Tea in a sealed bottle in the fridge for up to 7 days.
7. Put the dry kava powder in the bin or compost. Rinse the strainer
bag in warm water and hang out to dry for next time.

Modern Method
Equipment needed:
Kava powder
Kava strainer bag
Room Temperature Spring water
Blender
METHOD
1. Add room temperature spring water into your blender
along with the dried Kava root.
2. Blend for 2 minutes or until well combined.
3. Leave the mixture to sit in the blender jug for 1hr - then blend
for another 5 minutes. Leave to settle for 5 more minutes.
4. Put a strainer bag over a large cup or jug and pour the mixture
through the bag. Carefully lift the bag out of the water and squeeze, collecting the water with your cup/jug.
6. Store Kava Tea in a sealed bottle in the fridge for up to 7 days.
